Caelyn Osbern, Class of 2018
What has been your path since graduating from The Caedmon School?
I currently go to Léman Manhattan Preparatory School and I’m heavily pursuing musical theatre, as well as my interest in activism and politics.
Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I’ve always been a massive theatre kid. I think that helping others with theatre is one of the main reasons why I want to do it so badly. I consider myself a great listener and I take all of my personal traits into my craft.
What was it about Caedmon that excited you to come to school each morning?
It was knowing that no matter where I was at that day, I would be supported as I was.
I would always be treated with warmth and kindness by my friends and teachers.
What is something you learned at Caedmon that has since stuck with you?
I was once told that in math, my heart needs to catch up to my head. I’ve never felt that I was good in math, but I remember being told that by a teacher, and it’s stuck with me not just in math, but my whole life.
What is your favorite Caedmon memory?
The entirety of the fifth grade musical. That era was a time when I was so excited to move on and get older and go into 6th grade, but I look back now and remember that even if my experience wasn’t perfect, I loved Caedmon so much. Wanting to grow up so badly really isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
If your Caedmon Story had a title, what would it be?
