Extended Day is available as a general childcare option for all families after 3:30 dismissal.
After receiving a snack, students play outside in the courtyard or engage in crafts or indoor games in Caedmon’s well-ventilated downstairs space. Students in First through Fifth grade spend a portion of Extended Day in Homework Helper, where they attend to their studies in a quiet classroom. Music School students may attend Extended Day after dismissal while waiting for a later-starting music lesson. Children may also go to Extended Day following an After School class or music lesson.
The billing rate is $25/hour. Minutes and hours accrue through the month and the business office sends out an invoice at the end of each month. Families are only billed for the actual time their child is in Extended Day. As with After School classes, Flex Tuition families are billed at a discounted rate. As a thank you to our frequent users, non-Flex Tuition families receive a 10% discount each month if the time accrues exceeds 10 hours.

New for 2022 - 23 is a significant savings for families who intend to enroll their children in Extended Day on a daily basis. As a bonus, Annual Extended Day participants receive one free After School class per term. Please log into your Radius account to register for Annual Extended Day.
Families seeking daily childcare are afforded a 36% savings by purchasing the Beginners/Early Program Extended Day Annual Plan, which covers the hours of 3:30 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. In Extended Day, children are under the care of experienced After School faculty members. Children in Extended Day are brought by their afternoon classroom teachers to Extended Day.
They are served a snack and then participate in a variety of activities which include small group projects, circle time, and courtyard play. Children must be picked up no later than 5:45 p.m.
The cost for the Extended Day Annual Plan for this age group is $6,000 to be paid in three installments of $2,000 on September 10th, January 10th, and April 10th. Once enrolled, families are responsible for the entire cost of the Annual Plan. Families receiving Flexible Tuition may qualify for an additional discount. Families seeking daily childcare beyond the hours of the school day are afforded a 33% savings by purchasing the Early Program Fours through Elementary Extended Day Annual Plan. In Extended Day, children are under the care of experienced After School faculty members. Children in Extended Day are brought by their homeroom classroom teachers to Extended Day. They are served a snack and then have the option of joining a pre-registered After School class, or remaining in Extended Day.
After School classes are available every day. As Annual Plan Extended Day participants, students may be enrolled in one After School class per trimester for free. Additional classes are charged at the regular rate. This will be coordinated directly with the Director of After School.
Activities in Extended Day include indoor crafts and games, outdoor sports, courtyard play, and dedicated classroom time in Homework Helper for students in First through Fifth grade. Children must be picked up no later than 6:00 p.m.
The cost for the Extended Day Annual Plan for this age group is $7,000 to be paid in three installments of $2,333 on September 10th, January 10th, and April 10th.
