Two-Year Classroom Experience

Children in Caedmon’s First and Second Grade mixed-age classrooms spend two years with the same teacher, building strong relationships and a deep sense of belonging. This continuity supports steady academic growth and social development within a nurturing environment that emphasizes collaboration over competition.

Students work in small, flexible groups, allowing teachers to thoughtfully tailor instruction to each child’s evolving needs. Groupings shift over time, giving children the opportunity to learn alongside peers with similar readiness levels while also benefiting from a range of perspectives and strengths.

The Mixed-Age First & Second Grade day runs from 8:25 AM to 3:30 PM, with both extended day and vibrant afterschool programming available.
