Investing in your child’s education from an early age is one of the best decisions you can make, influencing socialization, patience, self esteem, and overall holistic development. At Caedmon, simply put, we love children. It is our goal to partner with our families to ensure that their child discovers his or her own passions, remains endlessly curious, and leaves our doors as a confident, courageous, capable young adolescent. And we believe that nothing should stand in the way of experiencing all that Caedmon has to offer.
Socioeconomic diversity is a valued component of The Caedmon School’s mission, and we strive to be supportive and inclusive of families from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The school recognizes that paying independent school tuition is a significant financial commitment. Our Financial Aid program at provides assistance to families who require some financial support in order to enroll their child. We consider financial need to be the difference between what it costs to attend The Caedmon School and a family’s ability to pay the tuition.
Financial Aid is not a loan. It is a financial grant awarded by the School to a family. Each year, all families receiving Financial Aid are responsible for contributing at least a minimal amount towards their child’s education. The amount of tuition that a family is responsible for each year is likely to increase slightly since tuition is raised annually. Financial Aid is funded from The Caedmon School’s operating budget and the money donated to the Annual Fund by families and friends.
Applicants should be assured that Financial Aid applications and supporting documents are strictly confidential and will only be reviewed by members of the Financial Aid Committee. Families will be required to share details of their financial situation, which we know is very personal information. Please know that we will be respectful of each family’s privacy.
We are here to support you throughout the Financial Aid process. Please feel free to contact the Financial Aid Co-Chairs for assistance. You may either call 212.879.2296 or email:
