The Diversity Committee at Caedmon addresses age-appropriate social and emotional issues with the goal of helping parents to raise thoughtful, caring children who are truly empathetic to the differences in the world. Run by parent volunteers, the Committee holds three major events throughout the school year, which include and are not limited to a movie screening as well as talks with authors, speakers, educators, or activists. The highlight of the year is a Potluck Supper where dishes from around the world are served. Volunteers can help coordinate these events and spread the word to the greater Caedmon community.
