Basketball at Caedmon

The Caedmon Basketball Program engages 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students in competitive play through the Gotham Basketball Association.

Since its launch in 2012, The Caedmon School Basketball Program has provided Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade students with the opportunity to compete in the highly regarded, NYC-based Gotham Basketball Association. This dynamic program brings Caedmon student-athletes into weekend competition against local teams, fostering both skill development and a love of athletics.

Weekly morning practices, held before the start of the school day, build discipline, teamwork, and confidence, while preparing players for competitive play. The Caedmon Basketball teams proudly represent the school community, demonstrating core values such as teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm both on and off the court.

A unique strength of the program is its strong sense of community and continuity. Caedmon Basketball alumni regularly return to volunteer, mentoring current players and reinforcing a lasting tradition of leadership, connection, and school spirit.
